Threefold was born from a longing to step away from the rush of everyday life. Surrounded by the wild beauty of Tasmania’s East Coast and inspired by a love of thoughtful design, it was created as a sanctuary-a place where nature, comfort, and creativity come together. Threefold is more than a stay; it’s a space to slow down, reconnect, and be present. A deeper kind of luxury, where guests can escape, ground themselves, and find moments of transformation and connection.

The Threefold Story

Set on 100 acres of private East Coast Tasmanian wilderness, Threefold is a thoughtfully designed off-grid retreat that balances seclusion with comfort. Compact by design yet generous in experience, the home features two bedrooms, One bathroom with seperate toilet, an outdoor bath, and cosy living area, making it the perfect escape for couples, friends, or small groups looking to slow down and reconnect .

Just seven minutes from Swansea, Threefold offers the convenience of nearby cafés, restaurants, and local attractions while feeling completely immersed in the bush. Spend your days exploring the property, spotting native wildlife, or simply unwinding on the deck and soaking up the serenity.

Threefold began as a spontaneous purchase during the COVID lockdowns, when a builder-and-designer duo fell in love with a wild piece of Tasmania and the simple idea of creating somewhere to escape the noise. Every detail has been crafted with intention, from the distinctive angled design to the timber lining the walls and ceilings, which was grown on the family's farm before being harvested, milled, dried, finished, and installed by themselves. It's a labour of love that gives the home its warmth, character, and unmistakable sense of place.

  • Threefold is completely off-grid, powered by the sun and supplied with rainwater. While the home treads lightly on the environment, it still offers all the comforts of a modern retreat.

    During the cooler months, the woodfire heater provides warmth and creates a cosy atmosphere, making Threefold a comfortable retreat in every season.

  • The roads leading to Threefold are unsealed dirt roads, but they are well maintained and suitable for most vehicle types. A 4WD is not required to access the property. Please take care when driving, especially around dawn and dusk, as native wildlife is often active in the area.

  • Threefold is conveniently located between Tasmania’s two major airports, with a similar drive time from both. From Hobart Airport, the journey takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, while from Launceston Airport it’s around 1 hour and 36 minutes.

    Whether you choose to fly into the north or south of Tasmania, both routes offer a beautiful scenic drive to the East Coast. Simply choose the airport that best suits your travel plans.

  • Yes, Threefold has Wi-Fi and full mobile reception at the house. However as the property is nestled in a natural bush setting, mobile reception can be limited or drop in and out along the roads leading to the property and in some surrounding areas.

  • Absolutely. Guests are welcome to wander and enjoy the property, but we ask that you don't cross fences or gates into neighbouring land.

  • Threefold is available for private photoshoots and creative projects. While we love the idea of celebrating special moments here, parties and large gatherings are typically not permitted. If you have a specific idea in mind, please get in touch and we’d be happy to discuss what’s possible.

  • Absolutely! Threefold provides a beautiful setting for intimate elopements, proposals, and other special moments. Get in touch to discuss your plans, and we'll be happy to talk through the available options.

  • Threefold is an adults-only retreat and is not suitable for children. Babies under 12 months are welcome; however, due to the design of the home and surrounding bushland, children over the age of one are not permitted.

  • As much as we love animals, Threefold is not suitable for pets. To help protect the native wildlife, surrounding environment, and the comfort of all guests, pets are not permitted on the property.
